What is this "Honest Finder" note on the back?

Some cards have an additional service supported on the back. The "Honest Finder" instruction on the back implements an optional lost+found service.

Cards that support this service direct an honest finder to the website http://reward.openfortress.nl/ where a code that is also printed on the back has to be entered.

The code is unique for the card. The internal administration of OpenFortress can tell if the card falls under the token return service, but it does not implement a link to the owner of the card.

The link to the card owner is made from the information on the front side of the card. Notably the serial number is used to find the rightful owner. An important implication is that the honest finder is not able to find out who uses the card to disclose whatever valuables.

If a card owner has acquired our token return service, then the honest finder will be invited to mail the card to us, and receive a reward in return. The card owner pays for the service and must therefore decide to switch it on before losing it.

Mass arrangements are possible for Sesame account administrators, as well as individual arrangements for individual card owners.
